Witches Night Out
OGDENSBURG: 8th Annual Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club Witches Night Out, 7-11 p.m., Freight House Restaurant; admission is $10 for those in witches wear, and $12 for those in mortal clothing; net proceeds will benefit Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club scholarships and community projects empowering women and girls through service and advocacy.
Fall Festival
OGDENSBURG: River Myst Winery’s First Fall Festival, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., 9830 State Highway 37; hoodies, vendors, food, music, wine; 12-3 p.m. The BackWater Blues Band (Duo); bring lawn chairs, admission is free.
Haunted Hayride

Hotdog fundraiser

Free movie day
NORWOOD: Norwood-Norfolk Key Club holding free movie day, 1 p.m., high school auditorium, Disney’s “Dumbo,” concession offered with popcorn, baked goods and beverages; proceeds from concession will go to the Special Olympics of Northern New York.
Best pet costume
MASSENA: Best pet costume contest, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., St. Lawrence Centre mall, 6100 Saint Lawrence Center; bring pets in costume to mall for pictures taken free of charge, photos then uploaded to mall Facebook page for voting; winner announced Friday, Oct. 18; prizes for first, second, third places.
