GOUVERNEUR: Gouverneur Community Chorus will perform “The Song Everlasting” by Joseph M. Martin at First United Methodist Church, 34 Grove St. (across from the U.S. Post Office), 4 p.m., chorus of local church and community members will blend their voices with an instrumental ensemble of piano, flute, clarinet, guitar, violin, cello and percussion under the direction of Dr. Donald Schuessler Jr.; cantata tells the gospel story of the life of Christ using American folk songs, spirituals and hymns as well as thoughtful narration; church is handicapped accessible and the nursery staff will be available to care for young children; www.gouverneurumc.org, 315-287-2440; free and open to public.
