Artist reception
CANTON: Artist Ola Aldous is showing a series of artworks at the Root Cellar, downstairs from the Flying Lotus Yoga Center, located at 81 Main St.; opening reception from 5-7 p.m.; works were conceived as album art for a recent album release by Ola and her partner, Claude Aldous, on the Steep Gloss record label in the United Kingdom; this opening celebration was postponed from last Friday due to the weather.
WhiteOut Weekend
CLIFTON/FINE: Annual Adirondack WhiteOut Weekend (WOW) held in the communities of Star Lake, Cranberry Lake and Wanakena is scheduled for Feb. 14-16; admission is free to the family event which will feature a variety of outdoor recreation, music and arts, food, crafts, interactive presentations, kids activities, snowmobile-accessible events and more; some costs will apply for individual events; staged through 100% volunteer efforts and the generosity of sponsors, donations and fundraising proceeds; https://sites.google.com/view/adkwow.
