MASSENA – The Nature Center at Robert Moses State Park in Massena will hold a wet-on-wet oil painting class for teens and adults on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the VFW hall, Hatfield Rd.
No experience is necessary. The title of this painting is "Winter Barn." This painting is done completely with pallet knives instead of brushes. It can be viewed on artist Wilson Bickford's website.
Certified art instructor, Wilson Bickford of Governeur will teach participants the techniques of wet-on-wet oil painting.
Wilson is well known throughout the area as an artist and teacher and has earned certification credentials from several art material manufacturers, such as Alexander Art and Grumbacher.
Wilson is a self-taught artist who works in many media including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels and pen and ink. The wet-on-wet painting method is popular for its ease of execution, even for first time painters.
The workshop fee is $40 and all materials will be provided.
Participants may wish to bring a snack and drink.
The entrance and parking are in the rear of the building.
