MASSENA -- If you are interested in learning how to manage your weight and want to adopt a healthy lifestyle, join Massena Memorial Hospital’s registered dietitians for their 8-week educational series.
Mary Mittiga, RDN, CDN, and Beth Morgan, RDN, CDN, will start a weight management lecture series on Feb. 27, at 5 p.m. in the community education room on the hospital’s lower level.
Subsequent classes will be held every Wednesday as well until April 24. The instructors will focus on a new topic each week.
Some topics to be covered include basic nutrition and portion regulation, healthy eating when dining out, cooking a healthy meal in less than 30 minutes, healthy grocery shopping on a budget, and fitness.
There will also be food sampling, recipe exchanges, and guest lectures.
Every participant will receive a goody bag as well to help them achieve their weight loss or management goals.
Sessions are free and open to all members of the community.
