CANTON — The Celtic Knot Textiles, 17 Main St., will host a monthly Warm Up America knitting group starting Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 6-7:30 p.m. The group is open to the public.
During the meetings we will learn some new knitting stitches, meet other knitters, have some fun conversation and do our part to keep those in our community warm.
Warm Up America is part of the Craft Yarn Council. They encourage groups to make up knitted blocks and sew them together to make blankets to be distributed to those in need in the local community. Learn more at www.warmupamerica.org.
Organizers say this is a great way to meet new friends, learn some new stitches/techniques, and help toward a worthy cause.
Materials: Bring any worsted weight, washable yarn and size 8 knitting needles.
