POTSDAM -- The Walkin' for Willz 5K Walk/Run to Cure Juvenile Diabetes is set to start at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 with sign-in starting at 10 in Ives Park.
This event aims to benefit the many children and adults living in the North Country with diabetes. All proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-Central New York Chapter, an organization dedicated toward finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
Cubby T. Clown and Company and progressive rock group Slightly Twisted will play. Light refreshments and other entertainment will be available.
To pre-register get a Walkin' for Willz 5K Walk/Run to Cure Juvenile Diabetes entry form, available at Chip's Place and Spirits of Hannawa, Kinney Drugs, Dunkin Donuts, Scoopucino's, and Potsdam Ponderosa, or by calling Stacey Howlett at 276-9180.
