CANTON -- Author and retired teacher June Pierce, a Waddington native, will read and sign copies of her first children's book, “Buford the Bully,” 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5 in Brewer Bookstore at St. Lawrence University.
Through the antics of an overbearing bullfrog, she will offer strategies to overcome bullying, including social skills and an understanding of consequences and learned behavior for both the bully and intended victim.
She will offer advice on how to overcome the frustration and desperation of being on the receiving end of destructive, bullying behavior.
Pierce published her first book of fiction, Keeping Secrets, in 2011.
