Volunteer Transportation Center to host golf tourney

CANTON -- The Volunteer Transportation Center’s annual St. Lawrence County Golf Tournament fundraiser at Partridge Run Golf & Country Club, 70 Sullivan Dr., Canton, will be Friday, July 19.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Register a foursome from your organization or your regular golf league. Registration is $300 per team or $75 per golfer – this includes golf, cart and dinner. Skins and super skins may be purchased at registration. Dinner will include raffles and an awards presentation.

New this year, the VTC will also host its inaugural Golf Ball Drop at this tournament. Pre-sold, numbered golf balls being will be dropped above a golf cup, with monetary prizes for Closest to the Hole, Second Closest to the Hole, Third Closest to the Hole and Furthest from the Hole. Numbered golf balls are sold by tickets for $10 a piece or 3 for $20 and are available by calling the VTC office at 315-714-2034.

Eagle Level Sponsors for this year’s tournament include the Kinney Drugs Foundation and The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence. Registration may be submitted by visiting www.VolunteerTransportationCenter.org. This event will take place regardless of weather, so no rain date or refunds will be offered. The event is open to only the first 36 teams to register.
