POTSDAM -- A trivia fundraiser will raise money for the 49 people who lost their homes in the Jan. 26 Lawrence Avenue Apartments fire.
The trivia event will be Feb. 27 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Cactus Grill and Cantina, 11 Raymond St.
Each participant pays a $10 entry fee. One entry fee per team goes into a cash purse for the winning team. The rest of the entry fees go to the displaced Lawrence Ave. residents. Single players can usually be recruited onto an existing team, or can play by themselves.
The quiz game is Geeks Who Drink, which is modeled after pub quiz games in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Quizzes cover everything from celebrities in trouble to wordplay to bad television. People can play a sample round at https://www.geekswhodrink.com/about/sample
