POTSDAM — The next Clarkson University Science Café talk titled “Fueling our Future with Clean Energy Conversions” will be held this evening (Thursday, March 23) at 7:15 p.m. at the Potsdam Civic Center community room, 2 Park St.
The need to achieve a significant reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases to forestall climate change is critical, says the presenter Prof. Simona Liguori (Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, CU). It is now imperative that we transition to more environmentally friendly processes, as well as to using sustainable energy sources and alternative
fuels for the transportation sector and for stationary systems, Liguori said. Liguori will discuss her research into clean energy alternative sources and ways to reduce their impact on the environment.
