Tickets now on sale for Rhiannon Giddens performance at SUNY Potsdam

POTSDAM — Recording star Rhiannon Giddens, who just released an album in April called They’re Calling Me Home, and will perform at Helen H. Hosmer Concert Hall in Potsdam on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now at the CPS Box Office at the SUNY Potsdam Performing Arts Center Monday-Friday from 12:30-4:30 p.m.; by phone at 315-267-2277; online at cpspotsdam.org; or at Brick & Mortar Music in downtown Potsdam.

Giddens, a MacArthur "genius" grant recipient, has performed for the Obama family at the White House and starred in two seasons of the Nashville TV series. Giddens just released her Audible audio documentary titled ‘To Balance On Bridges’ and announced her publishing deal with Candlewick Press with the first book slated to be released in the fall of 2022.

In 2019 Rhiannon released there is no Other, which earned her a 6th grammy nomination. She was profiled by the New Yorker, appeared on multiple magazine covers, and performed on The Today Show.

She is an expert talking head throughout Ken Burns' COUNTRY MUSIC series on PBS and appeared throughout Samuel L. Jackson's TV docuseries Enslaved that aired this fall.
