Birdsfoot Farm, located a few miles outside Canton, is an intentional community established in 1972.
In 2017, the Farm received TAUNY’s North Country Living Traditions Award, in the Very Special Place category, for the members’ efforts over the years to catalyze engagement with simple living and activism.
In recognition of the Farm’s 50th anniversary, TAUNY has pored through photo collections and will present the history of the Farm and ways members have influenced what happens off the farm.
This TAUNY exhibit is a companion to In Season: Our Rural Food System in Photos, curated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County, on display in The TAUNY Center through Oct. 29, 2022.
