CANTON — A community dance will be held at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St., on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m.

Traditional musician Dan Duggan will teach and call circle, square, reels (line) and contra dances.

Dan and the band High on the Hog will provide live old time string band music.

This will be a family-friendly community dance, and no prior dance experience is needed.

This concert and dance series has been organized by Dan Duggan thanks to funding from Creatives Rebuild New York.

Winter series of concerts will be at 7 p.m. on the second Friday of each month from January through April. Doors will open at 6:30, and nonalcoholic refreshments will be available.

Tickets will be by donation at the door, and all ages are welcome.

Additional concerts will be Jan.13 Jamie Savage, Feb. 10 High on the Hog, March 10 Dan Duggan and Peggy Lynn, and April 14 Dan Berggren.

Creatives Rebuild New York (CRNY) is a three-year, $125 million investment in the financial stability of New York State artists and the organizations that employ them.
