POTSDAM -- To launch its new Soci Forum series, SUNY Potsdam's Department of Sociology will host "Social Sounds," a celebration of meaningful music, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in Kellas Hall Room 103.
The free event is open to the public and will highlight how music connects people of all backgrounds with social issues.
Students and community members will share songs that have inspired them on issues such as peace, freedom, justice, equality, racism, sexism, dignity, domestic violence, human rights and the environment.
