CANTON -- Several SUNY Canton clubs and organizations are inviting the community to help fill local food pantries for the holiday season.
"SUNY Canton Gives Back" will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30 in Miller Campus Center Woodcock Conference Suite. Radio station 95.3 The Wolf one of the event's sponsors, will be broadcasting live.
Community members are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable food items to the event. Photos with Santa Claus and the SUNY Canton Roo will be available for a donation of canned goods. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be provided.
Drop boxes are all around the campus for those unable to attend or for additional donations.
The food donated will be collected and brought to the Community Development Program for distribution to local pantries following the event.
Parking will be available in the Miller Campus Parking Lot #13.
