POTSDAM -- The Roman Catholic Church of St. Mary will host an inquiry session, on Sept. 13, at noon after the 11 a.m. Mass called "Becoming Catholic." The sessions will include brief topic presentations and discussion sessions about the Catholic faith and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
"Are you feeling drawn to the Roman Catholic Church? Do you have questions about the teachings of the Catholic Church? Or perhaps you were baptized as a Catholic, but have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and/or Confirmation," said a press release from the church.
The sessions will discuss Jesus Christ, the Sacraments of the Church, Scripture & Tradition, the Mass, and Prayer.
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the Church's process to prepare adults for admission into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. It is designed for non-baptized persons and those who were baptized into another faith tradition and would like to seek full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, the church said.
