CANTON — Two free information sessions on St. Lawrence County’s Family Child Care Training Program will be offered Wednesday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 21, from 7-8 p.m.
The program offers a professional pathway to establishing a family child care business with mentorship throughout program.
Program highlights include guidance with the NYS FCC Application process, regulations and licensing assistance, personalized business counseling, workshops and training, intro to entrepreneurship, business planning, bookkeeping essentials, managing risk, marketing your family child care business, building wealth and enrollment in 3-credit Introduction to Early Childhood online course through SUNY Canton.

The program is a collaborative grant-funded initiative made possible through the support of the St. Lawrence County Legislature with program funding from the American Rescue Plan to meet the high demand and need for childcare in St. Lawrence County.
