CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Historical Association will host two informational tours and workshops for those interested in participating in its History Helper Volunteer Program.
The first tour is Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University and will be led by Cathy Tedford, director.
Registration is required by calling 315-386-8133.
Those attending are advised to meet in the SLCHA parking lot and carpool over to the university due to parking limitations.
History Helper volunteer opportunities are varied and require a wide range of skills.
The following activities are available: docents, genealogy research, exhibits, clerical, educational programs, housekeeping, archives, and working at special events like the Artisan Show, Brown Bag Lunches, and Holiday Open House.
