POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence Arts Council invites the community to the Creative Spirit Community Arts Center art store and Creative Partner Showcase exhibit opening event on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10am to 4 pm.

The event will be held in their new building, the Creative Spirit Community Arts Center, at 6 Raymond St. in Potsdam.

Formerly known as the Member Show, the Creative Partner Showcase is an exhibit of artwork that highlights the creativity and hard work of SLC Arts’ Creative Partners.

The Regional Arts Celebration will begin at 1 PM on the 27th. SLC Arts will honor Decentralization Regrant recipients and the wonderful arts projects they were able to facilitate this past year, and present the Arts Recognition Award to Sara Lynch, a local artist who has had a great impact on the community.

Music will be performed by Gretchen Koehler and Don Woodcock, the Phoenix Jazz Collective, and a local SUNY Potsdam jazz combo. Light refreshments provided by Big Spoon Kitchen will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
