POTSDAM – The first annual Spring Classic Pickleball Tournament will be held Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Sandstone Arena, 43 Pine Street, Potsdam.
The event is being hosted by the Village of Potsdam Recreation Department and the North Country Pickleball Club.
It is free admission to watch the event and is open to the public.
“Come and see what this craze called pickleball is all about,” said organizer Teresa Fisher. “The snack bar and merchandise table will be open to visit, grab a bite to eat, and talk with local players.”
Semi-pro player, Steve Smith, Elmira, will be in attendance, both as a player and as an instructor for the training clinic being held May 15.
“Join the fun and be entertained as the players battle it out to be crowned the Big Dill of the day,” said Fisher.
