MADRID – The St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum, 1755 State Highway 345, is hosting its 37th annual Spring Antique Gas and Steam Engine Exhibition on June 8 and 9.
On display will be working engines, antique tractors, cars and trucks, sawmill and early textile and blacksmith demonstrations.
There will also be attic treasures for sale, farm animals, wagon rides, crafts, horse and tractor parades, 1850s one-room schoolhouse, horse-drawn equipment exhibit, 1850 log cabin reconstruction, maple sugar house, 1920s gas station, the museum’s collection building, shoe repair shop, equine education building, raffles, iron auction, baked goods, scooped ice cream, food and other activities planned.
Saturday’s events will include mini and draft horse pulls indoors, kid’s pedal tractor races, old iron auction, a ham dinner at 4:30 p.m., and music by pure country from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
An antique tractor pull is slated for Sunday, along with a chicken barbecue and a kid’s tractor pull.
Gates open at 9 a.m.
Admission is $5; children younger than 12 years old are admitted free.
