CANTON – SOAR Players are presenting a dinner theater, “Dog Days,” written by Helen Condon and directed by Art Johnson at The Best Western Plus Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m. and dinner is served promptly at 6 p.m.

Dinner includes soup or salad; choice of one entrée: Citrus Grilled Pork, Mediterranean Haddock, Tofu and Broccoli Stuffed Tomato, or Chicken French; dessert and beverage.

While the play has been performed in the past, there have been changes made including the surprise ending making the fun and suspense all new.

In the story, the local veterinarian has been murdered. Several female members of the community have motives to have committed the crime.

Those dining are the detectives who will solve the case. The suspects will be chatting with the crowd throughout the cocktail hour and beyond trying to convince them that they are totally innocent.

Prizes will be awarded to the best detectives.

Tickets for the gourmet meal and the performance are $50 each. All proceeds will benefit the Potsdam Humane Society’s animal shelter.

Tickets are available at the Best Western Plus and the Potsdam Humane Society.

There may be tickets sold at the door the night of the dinner theater, but advance ticket sales are suggested.
