'The Shoes' slated for May 28 Madrid Dam Music performance with songs from 50s, 60s

MADRID — The 50s and 60s band The Shoes will perform at the Madrid Dam Music Series on Saturday, May 28, from 6-9 p.m. in the Madrid Park Community Building.

There will be no entrance fee. Tickets will be offered and a donation bucket will be passed.

Masking will be required for attendees.

The event is sponsored by Terry and Sandy Moulton of Madrid.

The Shoes have been performing many of the musical hits from the music charts during the mid-1950s and early 1960s for nearly 30 years. Touring and performing all over Northern New York, the lineup includes: Al Netto, lead vocals; Herb Hughes, lead guitar and vocals; Denny Yerdon, keyboards, sax and vocals; Ted Markwick, drums and vocals; and Bill Farr, bass and vocals.
