POTSDAM – A Saidi September Belly Dance specialty class will be held from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18 in the dance studio at downtown Snell Hall.
The class fee is $30. Learn the art of Raqs Assaya, a form of Middle Eastern dance that originates in Upper Egypt.
Basimah will be teaching a choreography that uses a cane or "Tahtib".
Students will also be introduced to the culture and history of this kind of dance.
