RUSSELL – The Russell Opera House will present Piquant! on Sunday Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. in a special ‘live recording session’ for their upcoming CD "The South Of My North," which will include mostly original compositions.
They encourage people to bring their dancing shoes if they want to dance, or to leave their dancing shoes home if they just want to listen.
For nearly ten years, Piquant! has been creating a unique sound in the North Country of New York. Their music evokes a “Bistro” atmosphere with spicy flavors from Latin dance styles of Tango, Rumba, Cha-cha and Samba. They also explore the sweet tones of French Musette, waltzes, and even and add a touch of swing.
The Russell Opera House programs are free and open to the public, however donations are accepted to help with the restoration of the hall.For information call Tess Eells at 347-2358, Russell Town Hall.
