Restart NY Regrants Program applications being accepted by SLC Arts

Posted

The St. Lawrence County Arts Council (SLC Arts) is accepting applications for the Restart NY Regrants Program through Sept. 30. The purpose of this state-funded grant is to encourage and support a return to live, in person performances.

The Restart NY Regrants Program funds community-centered arts projects, with a live performance element, that take place July 1 to June 30, 2022. This means that the grant can fund events retroactively as long as they have a live, in-person component.

SLC Arts will be distributing nearly $25,000 in Restart NY funds to Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence. For more information, please visit slcartscouncil.org/restartny.

In addition to Restart NY Regrants, SLC Arts is also offering three 2022 grant opportunities through its State Community Regrants (SCR) Program. The Individual Artist Grant funds the creation of new works of work by individual artists. The Arts Education Grant funds arts education projects, and the Community Arts Grant funds community arts experiences. The application deadline for these grants is Dec. 10. For more information, please visit slcartscouncil.org/grants.

Applicants may apply for both a Restart NY Regrant and a 2022 SCR grant, as long as the two projects are independent of one another and don’t overlap artistically or financially.

For more information, please contact Alicia Murphy, grant coordinator, at grants@slcartscouncil.org.
