Reservations now open for Tastes of Autumn in Massena

MASSENA -- Reservations are now being taken for Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley’s popular gourmet brunch “Tastes of Autumn” to be held Sunday, Oct. 20.

This year, “Tastes of Autumn” will take place at Vino Vidi Vici at the Quality Inn.

The cost is $40 per ticket and all proceeds will help sustain Hospice’s many patient services and community programs.

Reservation times will begin at 11:30 a.m. and continue every 30 minutes until 2 p.m.

Guest chefs Dr. Bill Orlando of Orlando Chiropractic, Chef John VanKennen of SUNY Potsdam and Chef Amy Conger of the 1844 House will return again this year.

Dr. Orlando will prepare a lobster trio consisting of lobster bisque, lobster mac ‘n cheese and a lobster roll.

VanKennen is serving a grilled N.Y. strip steak served with herb roasted carrots and Dominic Violi’s celeriac mashed potato.

Conger will serve duck confit featuring M&M Farm Duck with Deep Root Farm’s mushrooms, served with gnocchi in a chalet demi-glace and spinach sprinkled with truffle oil.

These culinary creations will be accompanied by hand-crafted soups, salad, bread and desserts donated by a variety of local businesses and organizations.

Include your entrée choices and two options for seating times.

Payment in advance is suggested.

The reservation deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 16.
