POTSDAM – The Karma Yoga Fundraiser is a holiday fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 in the Potsdam High School gymnasium to benefit St. Lawrence County Renewal House.
With the theme “Take care of yourself, take care of your community,” certified yoga teachers from the area will be volunteering their time to teach classes throughout the day:
• 9 a.m., Hatha Yoga with Ellie Beeler
• 10:30, Kripalu Yoga with Alison Brant
• noon, Kripalu Yoga with Dolly Kirwan
• 1:30 p.m., Vinyasa Flow with Sarah Scafidi-McGuire
• 3 p.m., Gentle Yoga with Terry De la Vega
• 4:30 p.m., Kundalini Yoga with Gurumantra Kaur.
The suggested donation per class is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
The classes are suitable for all levels of participants. Beginners will be welcomed and encouraged.
Participants are asked to bring their your own mats, towels and water. There will be some mats, blankets and blocks available to borrow courtesy of The Body Shop.
