OGDENSBURG – The Frederic Remington Art Museum invites you to the Remington Haunting: A Family Event on Friday, Oct 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, from 6-8 p.m. The event is sponsored by America 1 Realty. Admission is $5 per person of any age, cash only.
For much of its nearly 100 years as a Museum, the Parish Mansion has been the subject of ghost stories. One rumored story is about Madame Ameriga Vespucci, who lived here from 1841-1859 with the house’s owner, George Parish. It is said that her heart was broken when he left her here when he inherited his title as the Baron von Senftenberg and moved to his castle in Vienna, Austria.
Ghosts and apparitions will take over the Museum for two nights of scary adventure and fun.
There will be a heart-stopping ghost tour through the Parish Mansion and a scaredy cat walk on the main floor for the meek at heart.
