WINTHROP - Artist Frederic Remington's family connection to the Civil War is the topic when Sue Longshore speaks on Remington and the war at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association 64th Annual Meeting in the Stockholm Municipal Building, Saturday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The meeting begins at 11 a.m. with a very short business meeting, followed at noon by a buffet lunch catered by Primabella's of Brasher Falls. Lunch is $15 per person and includes chicken and broccoli alfredo, baked ziti, tossed salad, garlic bread, dessert, and beverage.
Pre-registration is required for lunch (you do not need to order lunch to attend the meeting or presentation).

At 1 p.m. Sue Longshore will give a PowerPoint presentation on Remington and the Civil War.
An acrylic painting on canvas entitled Forest Pond will be raffled.
Tickets are available at the SLCHA for $1 each or 6 tickets for $5, and will be available at the meeting. The winner's name will be drawn at the meeting but you do not need to be present to win.
