Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Program teaches the skills to be a safe babysitter and smart business owner. Enrollees learn skills such as how to tell when there is an emergency and when it’s a situation the student can confidently handle.

Authorized Red Cross Babysitter Training Instructor Ellen MacMaster will teach babysitting skills such as:

• Perform first aid and get professional medical help fast.

• Make good responsible decisions.

• Supervise infants through school age children.

• Choose safe and age appropriate toys and games.

There are also tips on how to run a babysitting business. The program will show how to create a resume, interview with prospective parents and keep track of clients.

The cost is $85. Registration and pre-payment are required by July 23. Participants should bring a bag lunch and a Cabbage Patch size doll.
