CANTON -- Larry Schembri, Bank of Canada's adviser to the governor, will give a talk Tuesday, April 26, at 7 p.m. in Room 123 of the Griffiths Arts Center at St. Lawrence University, on "The Great Recession: A Tale of Two Economies - Canada and the United States."

The event is open to the public and free.

The recent financial crisis and economic recession were less severe and the recovery stronger in Canada than in the United States.

The differing experience of the Canadian and U.S. economies provides important lessons for macroeconomic and financial sector policy.
