Ranlett Organ Recital Sunday at SUNY Potsdam

POTSDAM – The 11th annual L. Felix and Helen Miller Ranlett Organ Recital will be held Sunday, Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. in Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam.

Adult admission is $10; seniors and students are $6; free to SUNY Potsdam students, faculty, staff and emeriti, and to K-12 students with ID.

There will be a pre-concert talk at 2 p.m. with Dr. Nelly Maude Case.

The whole family is also invited to an encounter with organist Scott Dettra Saturday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. in Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam. Admission is free and children are welcome.

Scott Dettra is the prize-winning organist and associate director of music at Washington National Cathedral, where he is responsible for the organ playing at more than 350 services per year.

In addition to many recording credits, his performances have been broadcast numerous times on the BBC, NPR, and PRI.
