OGDENSBURG — Organizers of the Ogdensburg Pride & Beautification’s Holiday Lighting Contest are urging the public to enter by Dec. 4.
Contest judges plan to drive around the evening of Dec. 7 between 6 and 8 p.m. to judge all entries.
Categories are: Best Traditional, Best Whimsical, Best Commercial and Best Religious.
The lighting contest is limited to the city of Ogdensburg and 5 miles outside the city limits.
First place prize sponsors are: Rhonda Roethel of America 1 Realty, Lee Jones, of Jones Insurance Agency, Kathleen Porter and Ogdensburg Pride & Beautification.
Second place prize sponsors are: Lowes Ogdensburg, Buster’s Sports Bar & Restaurant, Cookie Recore of River Run Realty and Ogdensburg Pride & Beautification.
Prizes will be presented on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. in front of Ogdensburg Pride & Beautification’s lighted display on the waterfront at the City Marina.
Organizers will publish a driving guide to all the entries so families can have a traditional night of “Looking at the Lights,” said a press release from the group.
