OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg’s Pro Musica choral group will present its annual Spring concert on Wednesday, May 31.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Ford and Franklin streets.
Composed of approximately twenty-eight members ranging in age from teens to senior citizens, Pro Musica is once again directed by Ms. Diana McEntee and accompanied by Jeffrey Hinkle.
The community choir has been in existence for over fifty years, and this year’s performance will once again feature a variety of tunes, both traditional and modern songs. The theme for this year’s performance will be “Music through the Decades.”
Songs starting from the thirties and proceeding through the years until the year 2000 will appeal to young and old alike.
Donations are accepted at the door; $5 is suggested, but any amount would be welcome. The proceeds are used to purchase new music and to donate scholarships to neighboring schools to students for their choral excellence during their high school years.
