Potsdam Rotary membership mixer set for Aug. 15

POTSDAM -- The Rotary Club of Potsdam will host a membership mixer on Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 5:30-7 p.m. at McDuff’s Pub, 59 Market St.

Rotarians will speak about club projects and the history of the club, which serves the greater Potsdam area. Appetizers and beverages will be served.

Rotary brings together the kind of people who step forward to take on important issues for local communities worldwide, said a press release from the organization.

Rotarians contribute their time, energy and passion to sustainable, long-term projects in local communities across the globe, the press rlease said.

Rotary connects 1.2 million members from more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Their work impacts lives at both the local and international levels, from helping families in need in their own communities to working toward a polio-free world.

The Potsdam Rotary Club was established in 1928. Today it continues a long tradition of performing hands-on service projects and fund-raising for local, regional, and international causes, said the press release.

The Potsdam Rotary Club meets each Wednesday at noon at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Potsdam.
