POTSDAM – The Potsdam Public Museum will feature its winter exhibit “Ice Cold Potsdam: A history of Ice Harvesting, Ice Hockey, Ice Carnivals and Ice Storms,” at the Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting Ceremony Sunday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m. with music performed by the Potsdam High School Jazz Band.
The exhibit includes a collection of ice cutting tools and equipment on exhibit from the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, hockey memorabilia and archival photographs from Clarkson University.
The lighting of the new village tree on Elm Street next to the side entrance of the village offices will be at 5 p.m. with a blessing and dedication. The reception and open house will follow immediately in the museum, located at 2 Park St., Civic Center.
The museum is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome, and donations are accepted.
