POTSDAM – The First Presbyterian Church will celebrate World Day of Prayer Friday, March 2. All people are welcome to pray in the sanctuary, which will be open 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. There will be a brief prayer service in the center at 8 a.m., followed by a simple breakfast. Prayer requests may be sent to the church beforehand, and they will be lifted each hour throughout the day. For further information, call the church office at 265-9434. World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women of many faith traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday in March.
