POTSDAM – Celebrating Black Authors, Death and Grief Book Club topic, Noon Book Club, and Story Times for ages prenatal through toddlers are among the Potsdam Public Library’s February offerings.

Black History Month will be celebrated with the works of black authors Feb. 24 from 6-8 p.m. featuring readers Sheryl Scales, Paul Cole and host William Eckert, Potsdam library’s program coordinator.

Death and grief is the topic of the “On the Same Page” monthly book club that meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. The club will start February with “Tuesdays with Morrie”, by Mitch Albom. Discussion will include causes of grief, and the many different ways people navigate grief so we can better understand our own grief and how to support others who are grieving.

The Noon Book Club will meet Feb. 8 from 12 -1:30 p.m. on for a discussion of “Little Fires Everywhere” by Celeste Ng.

Two story times are offered at the library. Winter Story Time meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30 a.m.-noon for toddlers and up. Itty Bitty Story Time for prenatal – 9 months meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m..

The Purl Jam knitting group is getting back together every Thursday at noon.
