POTSDAM – Performers in the Potsdam Figure Skating Club bring Hollywood Hits to Clarkson University’s Cheel Arena for their annual show at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26.

Dozens of skaters from pre-school through high school have chosen movie music themes for their performances.

The club’s beginner and badge program skaters will be skating to movie hits from Top Gun, Chicken Little, Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Kung Fu Panda, and Hanna Montana.

Higher level skaters from the junior and senior programs will skate to tunes from Footloose, Risky Business, and Austin Powers.

Trios will be performed by Janelle Trombley, Jenna Fiacco and Katie Davis, and Courtney Saumier, Sarah Lavigne, and Alyssa Sloan.

Duets on the ice will feature Stephanie Kearing and Miki DiMatteo, and Ashley Anderson and Bria Cole.

Solo skaters this year include Emily Sloan, Haley Clark, Allison Kearing, Abbie Lanning, and Ann Chiarenzelli.

Senior skaters Maya Holson and Jessica Sullivan are skating their last routines with the club at this year’s show.

Several guest skaters will take to the ice, including Shannon Flanagan, Nikola Wolfe, and a pair of Canadian ice dancing competitors just back from the Canadian Nationals, Anne-Chloe Bissonnette and Dylan Lockey.

Also invited to the Potsdam club’s performance are the synchronized skating teams from the area, the Shooting Stars, Ice Angles, Saint Sensations and Mystic Ice.

Tickets are available from the Potsdam Figure Skaters Club or by contacting Dawn Sloane at 265-0024. They are $5 if you get them early, or $6 at the door. Kids 5 years old or younger or seniors 90 or over are admitted free of charge.
