POTSDAM – The Potsdam Hall of Fame, in conjunction with the Potsdam Elks Lodge, is sponsoring a chicken barbecue and silent auction Saturday, Aug. 21 at the lodge, Elm Street. The auction will benefit injured Cpl. Aaron Howell of Parishville.
The barbecue will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with pre-orders being taken from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $4.50 for half a chicken and $7 for a meal including macaroni salad, baked beans, roll and butter.
Delivery is available in the village of Potsdam. To pre-order, call 265-2074.
The silent auction will feature over 70 items, including Clarkson hockey tickets, SUNY Potsdam basketball and hockey season tickets, prizes from several businesses and many gift certificates from businesses in Canton, Potsdam, Norwood and Norfolk.
