POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Central School Athletic Hall of Fame will honor athletes and teams during induction weekend Sept. 16 and 17.
Outstanding individuals to be honored are Don McLennan, 1953-1957; Darrell McLennan, 1954-1958; John Charlebois, 1963-1967; Ed Cunnings, 1963-1967; Michael Murphy, 1964-1968; Dan Forbush, 1967-1971; Christine Reichhart, 1984-1988; Michael Warden, 1984-1988; Sean Agnew, 1986-1990; Mark Van Leuven, 1987-1991; and Danielle Cornett, 1996-2000.
Outstanding teams to be recognized are the 1966 baseball team, 1985-86 hockey team, the girls’ outdoor track teams of 1993 and 1994, the 1997 swimming team,
and the volleyball teams from 1997-1998 and 1989-1999.
Induction weekend events include golf at the Potsdam Town and Country Club the morning of Friday, Sept. 16, and a tailgate party at the Potsdam Elks’ Lodge that evening, and, on Saturday, Sept. 17, unveiling of the Hall of Fame wall at the
Gillette/Saunders Physical Education Complex at 12:30 p.m., the Hall of Fame football game against. Massena Central School at 1:30 p.m., and the dinner and induction ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at the A.A. Kingston Middle School cafeteria.
