POTSDAM – SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will host the Perron Trio for a string concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8 in Snell Music Theater.
The guest artist recital will feature the well-received string trio, with Sheila Perron Jaffé on violin, Shelly Tramposh on viola and Johanne Perron on cello.
They will perform Ludwig van Beethoven's "String Trio in C-Minor, Op. 9, No. 3," a 1798 piece written in the key the artist is known for composing stormy and striking pieces in.
They will also present the "String Trio No. 1" by Bohuslav Martinů, a prominent Bohemian Czech composer.
The recital will conclude with a performance of Hungarian composer Ernst von Dohnanyi's five-movement piece, "Serenade, Op. 10."
