PARISHVILLE — Parishville-Hopkinton Central School will host several events in the coming weeks.
A school-wide evacuation drill is set for Sept. 27 and will include fire departments, state police and the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
PHCS is having a mock-DWI crash Oct. 4 in collaboration with the St. Lawrence County Traffic Safety, town EMS, fire department, sheriff's department, and local funeral homes. This realistic simulation heightens new drivers', and soon-to-be drivers', awareness of the ramifications of driving under the influence. It will take place at the Firemen's field on Rutman Road in Parishville.
The inaugural PHCS Fall Festival is slated for Oct. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Firemen’s Field on Rutman Road.
There will be wagon rides, trunk-or-treat, pony rides, pumpkin painting, free bike helmets, face painting, concessions, raffles, games, DJ, karaoke, and Safe Child ID cards.
All proceeds from the festival will go toward the Parishville-Hopkinton School District Panther Paws Project to bring needed resources and services to the community.
