OGDENSBURG – Battle of Ogdensburg reenactments and the Zonta Snowflake Social are two of the activities that wrap up this year’s 'River Shiver' celebration.
The event runs through Feb. 26 and will include:
• February 25 & 26: Battle of Ogdensburg reenactment at Fort LaPresentation on Lighthouse Point, 1 p.m. Actual reenactment of the winter Battle of Ogdensburg featuring cannons, muskets, period costumes
• February 25: Outdoor Snow Painting at Kids Place of Remington Art Museum, using Kool -Aid, food coloring in spray bottles and stencils to create paintings on snow.
• February 26: 2nd Annual Zonta Snowflake Social at the Freight House Restaurant, 11a.m. to 3 p.m. Teddy Bear Tea, bring your teddy bear and enjoy tea. Dressing up is encouraged. Snowflake Social, 11a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring wine tasting, silent auction and 50/50 raffle, Express Spa services offered by BOCES and local artisans and craftsman vendors.
