OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum will offer an online version of its popular “Art Highlights & Tea” lecture series with a presentation by retiring Executive Director Laura Foster on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 a.m.
The presentation was originally scheduled for April, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Museum’s Director, Laura Foster, has been away -- but not out of touch -- for several months, said a press release Her absence, begun with a medical emergency in Spain, has been subsumed by the pandemic. She still cares about the Museum and its larger family, and will participate in a conversation via Zoom with Museum patrons and friends. Have questions for a marooned expatriate in Spain? Wonder about Laura's impending retirement and succession? Have questions about the Museum in general or during the pandemic? Or burning questions about Frederic Remington or his art? All questions are welcome.
The conversation will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10 online via Zoom. The cost is $10 for Remington Museum members and $15 for non-members. To register for the Zoom meeting, visit: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJItfuqrqDIoH9JJ5WRFQPOKGuu7sPO7FnqZ
In normal circumstances, the “Art Highlights & Tea” series takes place at the Remington Museum and features a lecture followed by a delectable tea, organized and run by volunteers. Because of the Museum’s closure and the need to maintain social distancing, participants in the online Art Highlights & Tea conversation on June 10 are encouraged to enjoy their own tea, coffee, and treats during the event.
