Ogdensburg library planning multiple activities throughout September

OGDENSBURG – A Fortnight Tournament, Music and Movement, Story Time, After School Crafts and Movie Night are among the activities at the Ogdensburg Public Library in September.

Music and Movement, a preschool movement and socialization class for ages 2-5, will be offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. outdoors during good weather.

Story Time will be Thursdays at 11 a.m. starting Sept. 9 for ages 2-5 at the library. Stories, activities and crafts for young children will be featured.

After School Crafts on Thursdays will start Sept. 9 at 3:30 p.m., but no class Sept. 30. September’s crafts will be locker ducks, straw bracelets and sun catchers.

An online Fortnight Tournament for tweens and teens will be held Thursday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. hosted by local libraries. Contact the library for more information.

Movie Night will be Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. The free movie is based on a popular children’s story about a rabbit in a blue jacket, rated PG.

Fishing gear is available to loan. Fishing equipment of adult fishing poles, tackle boxes, nets, pliers/gropers and children’s fishing kits can be checked out for up to one week. Those 16 years and older must have a fishing license.

Masks are required inside the library.

Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. -5 p.m., and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

The bookstore hours are Wednesdays 4-6 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays 2-4 p.m.
