OGDENSBURG - For over 50 years, Ogdensburg's Kiwanis Club has been serving up pancakes, sausages with real North Country maple syrup to raise money for the service group's extensive youth service programs.

"We're not going to let a little thing like a global pandemic stop one of Ogdensburg's annual traditions," said Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club President Christopher Pittcher. That's why the Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club will hold it's Pandemic Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 10th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army at the corner of Franklin St. and Green St.

It will be a drive through event to maintain social distancing.

Kiwanis, Key Club and Builders Club members will work together to serve pancakes, sausages and real Maple Syrup.

$7 donation.

Funds from the event will benefit youth activities, scholarships and community programs.

The Ogdensburg Kiwanis maintains an extensive youth sports complex at Montroy Park near the city's water filtration plant. It operates Kiwanis Soccer, Kiwanis Softball, T-Ball, and Kiwanis Baseball programs, Key Club, Builders Club and K-Kids, college scholarships for high school graduates from Ogdensburg, Lisbon, Morristown and Heuvelton and a variety of other community activities.

The Kiwanis Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Freighthouse Restaurant at 6 p.m. with a social hour from 5-6 p.m.
