OGDENSBURG — Radio personality Dawn Merz will MC the Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club’s annual spring student talent show scheduled for Friday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at the high school’s George Hall Auditorium.

With over 30 years in radio broadcasting, Merz is no stranger to North Country audiences. She is currently employed as general manager of WYSX, WNCQ, WPAC, WRCD, WVCF and WMSA.

Sponsored by the Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club, the annual spring talent show will offer divisions for elementary students and middle school and high school performers.

Admission is $5 per person.

Deadline for registrations is Tuesday, June 7.

The Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club’s Talent Show is the city’s oldest student talent show.

“For over a quarter of a century, the OFA Key Club’s Talent Show has helped young people from across Northern New York develop their skills and show what they can do on stage,” said Key Club president Katelyn Reed. “Our fall and spring talent shows have helped put the spotlight on many of St. Lawrence County’s top young performers.”

“For over two decades, young people from schools across Northern New York have taken to the Ogdensburg stage to entertain audiences with the best in student performances,” said Kiwanis advisor Jim Reagen.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three in each division. Participants should arrive by 6:30 p.m. the night of the performance to check in with organizers.

“All funds raised will be used to help students attend the state leadership training conference in Albany,” said faculty advisor Ruth-Anne Barkley.
